A piece of TWS history!

We here at TWS went through the record books and found something very special....

This next piece was written before there were even 10 teams in the league... A magical time...

Mike Jones was blowing up the charts, Chris Nolan and Christian Bale made Batman cool again, and the UCF Golden Knights had the most improbable season in NCAA Football history.

It was 2005.

A young kid with a lot to prove was given a chance to join the elite of The Swamp League. They went by the name of McCoys Marauders. They began a weekly post about the league meant for coaches only. This very basic idea would soon mold into the now beloved The Weekly Swamp.

We'll bring out more old school posts from the past four years in the next few weeks!

Enjoy this historical jewel of The Weekly Swamp.....

Week 4 Week 4!

Some very close games this week. First with a second win and evening his record to 2-2 the G Knights capatalized on a giant day of football from Peyton and company, racking up 99 points in an 18 point victory over Olo's "U Know It" who have now downward spiraled from a 2-0 start to an even 2-2.

Next we have the sqeaker of the week with the Big Body Ballers taking down WithorWithout Daunte who for the third time in four weeks has put up over sixty points during a loss. Will Daunte remain the starting QB?? Sources say yes, and watchout for Culpeppers 180 turnaround coming very soon! The BBBallers have won three in a row and improve to a 3-1 record while W or W/O Daunte falls to 1-3.

Now for our game of the week.........possibly one of the biggest upsets in fantasy football history! With an 0-3 start there wasn't much hope for Dallors "The U" when they went head to head with the commish's Gators who started off 2-0 then lost to the BBBallers in a devasting 110-61 route. Down to one player left Dallors "The U" put all thier eggs into one basket, a basket by the name of Neil Rackers, the Arizona kicker who put up 23 points sealing the deal for "The U" to take home the W. Dallors team finally improves to a 1-3 record while the Gators record their seceond consecutive loss putting the Gators back at .500 (2-2).

Finally the beloved McCoy's Marauders win streak comes to an end. In a dissapointing showing by Pollard and the NE Defense, the Marauders fall to "TheRealBucsFan" Coach Dr. Zoidberg has this to say at his press conference "We simply didn't play Jack McCoy type of football. We missed some easy passes and our defense let us down. But not to worry as we'll be back up and running week 5!" TheRealBucsFan improves to a 2-2 record while the Marauders take thier first loss but sill remain top dog in the swamp at 3-1.

This concludes the Post Week 4 wrap up and Official Coaches Statement for Tuesday Oct. 4th 2005.

Coach Dr. Zoidberg (McCoys Marauders 3-1-0)
