Welcome back to the ultimate fans' news source on everything and anything Swamp League related!

This is not our first issue of the year. Only a recap of the past and a glimpse into the future as we show you what really went down in the last two weeks of the 2008 season, who kept who in the off-season, a few key draft results, and our preview of the action in Week 1.

The date; December 8th.

Up for grabs; A shot at the title.

Four teams line up.

Dolphins.

New Kids On Tha Bloc.

G Knights.

Gators.

The number one seed Dolphins are battling New Kids On Tha Bloc. Both squads are at the farthest either has gone into the playoffs. One team is going to the championship for the first time in franchise history.

New Kids On Tha Bloc fought as hard as they could, but came up short as the Dolphins take the W and go on to The Swamp League Championship. But who would he face?

A different scenario on the other side as G Knights and Gators have both been here before and have won it all. Both have experience, talent, and the drive... Who had enough points?

Even with all the differences between both games, one thing remained the same, a thirty point differential as the old fashioned Gators take out the G Knights to face the Dolphins in the Championship.

Championship Week

With everything on the line it all came down to this....

New vs. Old. The young phenom vs. The crafty veteran. The holiest of all trophies at stake.

It was a barn-burner. A slobber-knocker for the ages, but as most Superbowls end, this was a blow-out.

Worst than the previous two Championships and the highest point differential in the playoffs, Dolphins take the gold by 39 points and title of The 2008 Swamp League Champions!

Congrats to all the teams for all their hard work and another great year of Swamp League action!

Can the rookie sensation Dolphins reclaim gold or will they be proven to be a fluke? The Dough Boyz are looking for that payday and Selfs Soldiers are gunning for the playoffs while The Blue Crew and G Knights want to take it to the next level.

And can The Name Change Kid take Patrick Chewing to a Swamp League Trophy?

All of these stories have yet to unfold... and this is what it's all about. Teams have already began to add, drop, and trade players from their rosters in preparations for Week 1.
